Computed Tomography (CT)
Our hospital is the only one in regional Queensland that can offer CT scans, and to welcome this new service we have an introductory capped-price CT package for $1,499 which includes the following:
- Consultation and full physical exam with our imaging veterinarian at time of admit
- Pre-anaesthetic blood screening (CBC, Chem 10 & SDMA + Heartworm Test for Canines)
- IV fluid therapy throughout the procedure and for 4 hours post-procedure if IV contrast has been administered
- Premedication & general anaesthesia
- Tailored anaesthetic monitoring by a trained veterinary nurse
- CT scan of required regions (up to full body)
- IV Contrast Study (if required)
- Preparation & submission of report for radiologist interpretation
The only additional costs will be for the specialist radiology reports and interpretations which start at $500 for the initial region, and $150 per additional region.
We aim to have reports back within 24 hours but can arrange an urgent turnaround time of 4 hours from the scan for critical patients.
We understand patients may need to travel to attend their appointments, and we will endeavor to accommodate varying schedules and provide as much flexibility as possible when booking.
We accept Vetpay, Afterpay and Zippay as well as having GapOnly facilities, to make payment options flexible.
