Snakes Alive! – A day in the life of a Reptile Vet

Recently a Wildlife carer brought us a scaly patient in a nasty predicament

This Carpet python had decided to take on a rooster for Dinner!

He had hurt his mouth and his lip was detached!

Dr Mike carefully sews up the damaged lips with special dissolving sutures.

This poor python had the Roosters spur poking out of his stomach!

A little more surgery and he was all patched up

We tend to see a lot of wildlife in trouble and it is our privilege to be in a position to help them. Unfortunately we are unable to save them all but now and then there are some that can be helped. This poor python got into a bit of bad luck by taking on a rooster, but in the end we were able to treat and help him.
